Hosted Mail Security

Hosted mail security is a great way to keep illegitimate mail away from your network completely, by implementing such a solution all mail is scanned for bad content in hosted datacenters which can drastically reduce the strain on your infrastructure.

In effect, a hosted mail provider will act as a mail relay for your email domain(s), when a mail is sent to one of your domains it is first sent to your hosted mail provider and scanned for spam, malware and content etc. and only the good mail is forwarded onto your organisation.

Most solutions offer a hosted web management console so you are able to whitelist/blacklist, release quarantined mails etc. and most will hold the mail if they cannot contact your mail server, for anything from 24 hours to 28 days, meaning incoming mail is safe in the event of internal mail server problems.

To implement these solutions usually only requires an MX record change and possibly a few minor changes on your mail servers, with little to no downtime. Services of this nature have become an irreplaceable solution for many of our customers.
